Dr. Kara Miller is an applied cultural anthropologist who specializes in embodiment. With interests in health and well-being, Kara’s work explores how bodily ways of knowing can enliven structures that affect and manage people’s lives. Her convictions lie in utilizing anthropological perspectives to contribute to generative understandings that inform health landscapes through lived experience. She seeks to contribute to innovative ways in which ethnographers harness nuanced cultural understandings to renovate healing systems and institutions with care and coherence.
