I'm a MA student in Cultural and Social Anthropology at the University of Cologne. Broadly speaking my interests lie in all kinds of outcomes and ongoing processes of (Neo-)Imperialism and Colonialism. Consequently, apart from economic foundations and consequences for this, I am studying the construction of concepts like ethnicity, race, nation and culture. This project is important to me as ethnographic museums are heavily engaged in representing the "Other" which might be arguably at the basis of the ideology of colonialism.
