Christie is a second year PhD student in the department of Informatics at UC Irivne working with katie salen in the Made with Play Lab. Her research lies at the intersection of HCI, game design, game studies, gender and feminist studies and ethnographic methods. She's currently interested in the ways in which young girls are figured by game designers and the ways in which femininity is imagined by game designers. She is currently working on a project which explores the ways in which children and parents problem solve around games.
