Alli Morgan is a PhD candidate in the Department of Science and Technology Studies at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Her research explores the science, politics, and practice of clinical diagnosis, with a particular focus on toxic and environmental health conditions. Particularly interested in health conditions which resist diagnosis, one of Morgan's current research project focuses on U.S. veterans suffering from air pollution related health effects from "burn pits," large scale garbage burning operations used in the U.S. occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan.
