Relays

RELAYS

I will relay my research project and its analysis in four main ways:

  1. Through an online comic book that outlines and details the main detail and arguments of my research. It would hopefully allow more people to gain more access to the kinds of stories and questions my research uncovers. The font would be dyslexia-friendly and include braille as ay to promote inclusivity.
  2. Through a moving exhibition of body maps. I will request that those who help me with my research also do a body map (like that of medical anthropology) to understand how migration has impact the body, both positively and negatively. I will organize and plan an exhibition around these maps, ensuring that explanations were attached to them, and that it is portable enough to take with me as I visit each new place. As I move from place to place, I hope to expand the number of body maps to include people who are moving in normal as well as unusual ways.
  3. Through education initiatives for middle schoolers that include creating holiday programs. It will allow me to translate my research for varying levels of knowledge and backgrounds and would hopefully allow for a wider ranging set of topics that can be taught at the younger age levels.
  4. Finally, through animation shorts, which could help with multiple goals, including educating younger children and adults who don’t speak the native language of their country in to get a better sense of how the law works on the ground. Another set of shorts would be geared towards children and would be used as a way to express the lived experiences of migrants and its complexities.
