This picture is taken from NPR - a garbage-filled canal, and poorly constructed homes near polluted air. This picture represents what is typically imagine of Haiti’s infrastructure-less landscape.Health politics in Haiti need to encompass environmental health. Garbage has become a major problem throughout Haiti and the rest of the Global South. The dominant Garbage removal tactic is burning, this, unfortunately, has proliferated Asthma according to doctors.
