During the  1940’s Voodoo temples and ritual, Objects were destroyed as part of Catholic anti-Voodo campaign. On the questions of viable institutions, Voodoo priest in particular rural locals have served as leaders in times of distress and crises. Many attempts to help Haiti has displaced this important beacon of support for the local community, even blaming them for the cause.
