Critical Commentary
In 2016 the Washington DC Office of Planning began an initiative to develop an LGBTQ historic context statement for the District of Columbia. And catalyzed a larger conversation about how policy, planning, placemaking and partnerships can be used to recognize and affirm LGBTQ identity within the District.
